The Bruins women’s soccer team completed its historic second season last weekend at the NCCAA DII tournament in Kissimmee, Fla., defeating Clearwater Christian College 1-0 to claim the NCCAA DII national title.
The Davis Field House was the stage for the highly anticipated Bruins men’s intercollegiate basketball home opener on Friday, Nov. 1. The men’s team, coming off a 6–24 inaugural season, rebuilt, reconstructed and trained hard for the 2013–14 season.
Both the Bruins men’s and women’s intercollegiate soccer teams took on the Tennessee Temple Crusaders last Saturday, Oct. 26, with both teams looking to improve their three-game winning streak and finish the season strong.
The BJU Bruins welcomed the Clearwater Christian Cougars to Alumni Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 12, for a rematch of the Oct. 5 contest in Florida. The game boasted 2,200 fans for Alumni Appreciation Night, including a high-energy society-led student section.
The BJU Bruins intercollegiate men’s soccer team closed out last week with two games, one on Thursday night against the Bears from Truett-McConnell and one on Saturday against the Clearwater Christian College Cougars.
