Annual 3v3 tournament raises Bible Conference funds

The annual 3v3 campus basketball tournament took place last weekend, drawing many athletes and spectators to the Davis Field House to raise money for this year’s Bible Conference offering.

Omega handily outscores Nu Delt, wins by 10 runs

The men’s intramural softball season opened Saturday afternoon, and one of the games pitted the defending champions, the Omega Lions, against the Nu Delt Vikings. Despite fighting a tough uphill battle for the entirety of the game, Nu Delt was unable to displace the Lions from their throne. The game ended 16-6 in favor of Omega.

Bruins make playoff debut, end second season

The Bruins played their final game of the 2013-14 season Thursday, March 13, as they fell to the Carver College Cougars, 76-64.

Bruins women finish season, get first playoff game win

The Bruins women’s basketball season came to a close Friday, March 14, with a 64-44 loss to Emmanuel College in the NCCAA DI South Regional Playoffs. The Bruins stayed in the tournament for two games, winning their second playoff game in the program’s history.

Tigers scratch out second consecutive soccer title

The Tigers defeated the Pirates 1-0 on Friday, March 14, for the second consecutive year to earn the women’s intramural soccer championship title.

Men’s golf starts spring season at Georgia tournament

Four Bruins teed off the season on Monday at the Reinhardt University Spring Invitational in Georgia. BJU placed sixth in the tournament, which hosted seven schools and 40 golfers. Junior Clay Wiginton and sophomores Blake Counts, Micah Gold and Kyle James represented the Bruins in the two-day tournament.

Bruins golf tees off for spring season, seeks continued improvement

The onset of spring and the close of basketball season usher in a new set of Bruins sports, and golf will take the spotlight. The Bruins’ golf team saw ups and downs during the fall season, but improvement was evident, and the team is optimistic.
