Rams fall to Spartan comeback

The Phi Kappa Pi Rams and the Sigma Alpha Chi Spartans faced off Monday night in an intramural men’s volleyball game. The teams were split after two games, and the Spartans conjured up a come-from-behind victory in game three to earn a win from the matchup.

Former jet ski race champion pursues God’s will at BJU

Twelve-year-old Rafael Costa was younger than the rest of the contestants. At least 15 years younger, on average, and the more experienced jet Ski racers were certainly not expecting a ysoung boy to provide such stiff competition in his first race ever. But while young Rafael Costa was probably as unfamiliar with Shakespeare as he was with jet ski racing, greatness was being thrust upon him.

After loss in final scrimmage, Bruins remain optimistic about next season

The Bruins men’s soccer team was back in action Saturday afternoon as they participated in a round-robin style scrimmage on Stadium Field. With the heat beating down and temperatures reaching the low 80s, it was a beautiful day for competition. With two scrimmages prior to Saturday’s match, the round robin was the Bruins’ last scrimmage of the semester, and the team went 1-2 on the day.

Omega defeats Z in hard-fought softball championship

Spring scrimmage leaves men’s soccer team with 5-1 loss

The BJU men’s soccer team is keeping busy this spring. They scrimmaged USC Upstate, a Division I NCAA team, last Thursday night, and the game resulted in a 5-1 loss.

Bruins women host spring round robin tournament

The Bruins hosted a scrimmage tournament at Alumni Stadium on April 5, winning once and losing twice. The teams competing were Truett-McConnell College, Toccoa Falls College and the University of Georgia women’s club soccer team.

Bruins golf team finds friendly rivalry with Benedict College

Society men serve up badminton matches in intramural competition

Intramural competition served up birdies last weekend with the onset of the brief badminton season. In this lesser-known intramural sport, individuals can still compete in an intense one-on-one style of play. All regular season games were held on Saturday, March 29, with athletes competing up to five times in the same day.
